I started thinking about this when I compared my 95 S14 with my friend's 96 S14. My '95 has about 250k miles on it while my friend's '96 has about 140k. Aside from the bushings, joints, mounts, etc. would the frame automatically be in a noticeable aged/worse condition from the mileage.

How would I check for rust spots on the frame itself? Aside from restraightening (if its crooked), what else should I be concerned about?

I don't know if it is in worse condition.
You would have to look and see for yourself.
Rust spots - Look for rust.

Look for crumpled areas.

bring it to a body shop; throw it on the rack and they can check to see if your numbers are still up to spec per the FSM...if you havent had any accidents or mishaps i wouldnt worry...

other than that, unibodies can take a beating...
