I posted a few days ago (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=122022) about how I just got the car back together, stock redtop block, gt28rs @ 10psi, stock injectors/maf, unknown rom tune for stock injectors

He kept letting off at ~6300rpm, even though I told him to take it to 7k, whatever: 253whp, 213tq
Torque is low, esp for this turbo, but with freddy intake manifold/tubular exhaust manifold and the turbo only running at 10psi its really not in its efficiency. The AFR is decent, ~12.5, hit 12.7 at one point but otherwise its ok for the boost for now. You can see the power just keeps climbing, im pretty sure if he took it to 7k it would easily hit 265whp, my injector duty cycle was close to max during a consult run on the parkway, and the maf was maxed, so im pretty much gonna stay clear of 6500+rpm for now =].

Upgrade your MAFS, Fuel Pump, and Injectors, and turn the boost up to 1 bar let that baby show you some better numbers. Under boost that AFR is getting scary. Wanna keep it 11.5 under full boost. No reason to be running such a bad ass turbo if you are gonna run weak like that.

w3rd don't run an upgraded turbo if you don't have the supporting mods. the injectors and maf are also almost maxed out

how high will the z32 maf go? and i had the same problem in my last car until i put in a wab 255 and went with a tad bigger injectors.

Koo...atleast now you know wussup. My boy with S15 turbo put down 270whp on stock injectors. Only thing thats kinda saving his ass on the fuel side is that hes running a fpr @ 55 psi with a SAFC on top of that. But yah it could prolly make more power but the injectors pretty much there.
And yes, you can make more power, ive seen people hit 360whp on that turbo at 18 psi.

Maurder - the Z32 will flow almost forever...well not really. On my 300 RWHP Dyno, at 1.2 bar of Boost my Z32 was not even at 60%. Oh yeah, add cams! I left that out.

Sorry pehaps I should've linked to my original post (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=122022) , im well aware of what this turbo is capable of and the supporting mods required, I've had all of them for over a year now. I posted this to show that running a gt28rs on stock setup is doable but is pretty much as far as you can go.
The reason im running this setup was 1.) to get the car running again, 2.) to find out where my tuning/fuel issues were before dropping another built motor. My first upgraded setup was a stock blacktop, walbro, this turbo, dw 650's, enthalpy tune, z32 maf: motor blew. I build that block, cp 9:1 eagle rods, this turbo, hks step1 264, nismo 740's, enthalpy retune. That engine blew. This is staying stock until I can determine what the issue was, I have a feeling it was fuel delivery but can't be sure, i've already replaced the walbro with another unit. Car is running good, now its time for a some proper logging and perhaps a romulator.
And yes, you can make more power, ive seen people hit 360whp on that turbo at 18 psi.
360 will be tough to get, seems some can get over 350, others are around 330 or lower, maybe just the way the dynos are setup. When I ran 18psi with the first enthalpy tune the car was a beast, but I never got the chance to dyno it.
