View Full Version : Selling my '97 "deep Fuschia" Kouki
KOUKI KA-T
10-11-2006, 12:25 PM
Finally moving on to something new, so it's time to sell the Kouki I've had for the last 4 years. Most people know it's history, it's stored every winter (6 months a year :() and never sees snow. It it in excellent condition and only has 80K miles on the original (now stock) KA. The deep fuschia color is very rare, I have only come across two others on these boards in the 4 years I've been a member. It's listed on autotrader now, these pics are within the last year, but I am having more taken this weekend. Don't even try and give me shit about selling it for more than what it books for, if you want to pay book price go find a stock one, and I'm not parting this thing out! This car is immaculate, listed below are all the mods that are included with the car:
1997 240sx SE 5spd (no moonroof, no ABS)
Factory VLSD and ABS driveshaft
KTS coilovers
Powertrix RUCAS
Powertrix Rear toe links
Nismo TC rod bushings
Solid poly subframe bushings (pressed in, not collars)
Solid poly diff carrier bushings
Nismo engine and tranny mounts
Tanabe solid tranny mount insert (nismo piece wasn't stiff enough on its own)
Impul R5 wheels 17x9 +20 all around
Hankook R-S2 235-40-17 all around
RS*R Ex-Mag 3" exhaust
Catco 3" catalytic converter
JDM OEM front bumper
JDM OEM rear bumper
JDM OEM sideskirts
JDM OEM rear valences
JDM OEM wind visors
JDM OEM fog lights
JDM OEM amber signal lamps
JDM Trust front lip
Base model wingless trunklid
Brembo brake rotors & Hawk HPS pads
Walbro 190lph fuel pump
Omori 45mm electric EGT, Oil PSI, Oil Temp gauges in custom cluster
HKS Electric Fan controller/ water temp gauge
Greddy Oil adaptor plate
Clifford G4 alarm w/ remote start, turbo timer function, and Black Jack

Infinity speakers
tinted windows (20%)
Shaved antennae
I also have the factory in dash 3 disc changer as well.
I also replaced the plug wires (OEM), plugs, cap and rotor, and OEM floormats 2 months ago.
If your interested feel free to e-mail me. Price now $9,500 or $9,000 w/ the stock SE wheels (see 2nd page), here's my ad on Autotrader (http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=210522241&dealer_id=58624425&car_year=1997&search_type=used&num_records=25&make=NISSAN&transmission=&model=240SX&distance=25&make2=&address=04103&advanced=&certified=&max_mileage=&max_price=&bkms=1160504148863&sort_type=priceDESC&min_price=&body_code=0&end_year=2007&color=&start_year=1981&drive=&engine=&fuel=&doors=&style_flag=1&cardist=0)

Thanks for the compliments.
Made the gauge cluster myself with ABS and plastic weld.
I have made several, I have another one that holds four 45mm gauges, 2 in each center vent. (see below)
I'll be taking more pics this weekend.

Yes, it's OEM
Most kouki s14's have black engine bays from the factory, except the white ones. All the green, cobalt blue, and purple ones did, can't remember about red...
This has been discussed heavily over the years, do some searching if you want.

Yes, it was an option on the K's model S13 and is universal fit for the S14 as well.
Jay over at Pandagarage has them every now and then.

was this car ever turboed? you say ka-t in your sig so im just wondering?
KOUKI KA-T
10-23-2006, 11:17 AM
Over 2 years ago it was, 6psi on a small T3 for about 2k miles. The manifold kept warping the head flange and the turbo had a small crack at the drain outlet that kept leaking oil. So I took it out as it was my daily driver at the time and I needed it to be 100% reliable, driven it for 20k miles since, motor is perfect.

What would be the issue w/ emmisions? It's a bone stock KA, there's no emmisions altering mods on it.
Shipping would be all on you, you'd have to find a company and set it all up. We shipped a Subaru to Nevada last winter and it cost the buyer 1400$, but that included an extra fee as he had it shipped guarenteed delivery in 5 days. I'd still expect it would cost you close to the same or more to have it shipped to CA.
Honestly I think it's a huge hassle for yourself, and I would prefer whoever buys it to come see it and drive it away. But if you are serious about it and really want to deal with shipping then PM me...
I've had 3 people from very far away now tell me they were going to buy it and were getting a shipping company together, only to never hear from them again. So maybe shipping is very expensive right now, or they were just wasting my time....

Still available, not holding it for anyone, first come first serve.
Also, will sell for 9500$ without the wheels.

what wheels would come with it at $9500. I am looking to possibly buy in the next 2 weeks. Give me your zip to calculated distance in driving. I would rather spend 400 bucks to fly and drive back than to ship to tennessee for $800. Any accidents? Also PM me the VIN# so I can carfax the vehicle. It would be nice if i can get some undercarriage shots to gauge the amount of possible rust that could be there. I also would like pics of all the stock vin locations, the doors, the trunk, hood, all the jambs, and the wheel wells. Let me know man I have cash in hand but need to get all the info to decide if this is the route i want to take. Contemplating between this and another car.

i think by the time your done with gas and the plane ticket. it would def be worth shipping it
CylonFrakker
10-25-2006, 02:07 PM
i have plenty of frequent flyer miles so i am gonna use that for the ticket. Then its just gas and one night hotel stay. How is that more expensive than shipping a car for $800 and then having it potentially damaged during shipping.

Stock SE wheels.
Portland, ME 04103
No accidents, I replaced the driver side rear quarter panel and door skin 3 years ago when I backed up and scraped along a metal telephone support wire. So there's no tag on the drivers fender, and not one on the trunk either as it has been replaced with a wingless one from a base model.
VIN# is in the autotrader link in the first post.
NO rust underneath at all, never drove it in the snow. I'll take pics of the undercairrage but will be a couple days before there is space on the lift for it.
I have 50+ pics already, send me your e-mail if you're serious.

I really need it gone before december or it has to be put into storage. Snow starts falling mid to late November and once it does I can only have one car in my lot, so it has to be placed in storage. It's a risk I can't take because if you did not buy it for any reason I lose my spot in the storage facility I use and I have no place to park the car. Is there anyway you can get up here sooner?
I'll email you pics today when I go home for lunch.

I have had a little over 20 people say they wanted to buy it, half of them were "definitely getting the money"..... yet I still have it. Although there are a couple people right now who seem like they are genuinely interested in picking it up, just gotta work it all out.
EDIT: Whoops, this is KOUKI KA-T posting under Dave's login at F1. Sorry.

Driving to dinner about and hour and a half ago in double lane traffic and I was run off the road by an 80 year old woman who somehow "couldn't see me"...
So looks like it's now 9500$ with the stock SE wheels, now that one of the Impuls got eaten. Thank god it was just the one wheel and edge of the lip that grazed the curbed.

Yeah I was ripped at first, but it coul have been a lot worse. I sacrificed a wheel instead of getting into an accident. It didn't even gouge the greddy lip at all, just needs to be sprayed. Should only cost 100$.

This is still for sale...
2 more weeks before I have to put it in storage for the winter if it doesn't sell by then.
Since a wheel got curbed I'll sell it for 9500$ w/ the Impuls, or 9000$ w/ the stock wheels.
But don't waste my time if you don't have money, it's getting old. Over 50 responses on this car since it went up for sale, not a single person has even shown up to look at it when they were supposed to.
Don't bother me if all you're looking for is more pics of the car to save to your computer....
