Dynoed my car the other day for the first time ever. Did 4 pulls, 2 on pump gas, and 2 on race gas. It was a mustang dyno, the guy didnt hook up rpm's, just went off roll speed.I wish he would have hooked up rpm, because i think it would make it easier to read. I was having some back firing at higher boost. Could that be because of a boost of vacuum leak? Here are 3 graphs of my runs. Do these numbers sound about right for my mods? I am also at 4500 feet elevation. Also He was doing pulls in 5th Gear... I was thinking 3rd or 4th gear would be better...

ive been told they can be alot higher then that, and i was also told you only do pulls in 3rd gear for a 5 spd. and 3rd or 4th for a 6.

i would have thought they should be alot higher then that. i make almost that with my stock turbo. i dont think that the elevation would make THAT much of a difference, so maybe its more of the gear situation. does it feel like more then just over 320?

i was about to comment on how low those numbers were until i read your post again and realized he was pulling in 5th gear. If thats the case, your power output is fine. Why did you do a 5th gear pull anyways? It would have been better to do a 4th gear pull so you have numbers that can be compared to other people's dyno numbers.

i think those numbers looka lil low but not to bad seeing that he has a stock motor ... as cams wise and so on .....
id sat get some step 2 cams in there cam gears and so on and u will see ur numbers rise =-) also a lil wiered why they would do it in 5th ....

Was your clutch slipping at all?
You definitely have boost leak, everyone does. YOu just need to find it and fix it!
Ive never heard of people doing pulls in 5th gear. Should be whatever gear is closest to 1:1 (4th for 240).
You are going to need bigger injectors for more power. 650's is pushing it there.
elevation will kill you.

thanks for the comments. This was my first time ever at a dyno. We didnt get to do our own pulls. The guy working there did them. I dont feel my clutch slipping, i expect it to because i only have the Exedy stage 1 organic. I am thinking that the backfiring came from too much fuel also. I think i need to get a wideband and safc to piggyback the Enthalpy tune.

That was a 4th gear pull, chart maxes at 124mph.

Its probably low because you don't have cams, to take advantage of the .86 you need to wrap your motor higher on 260ish cams.

SAFC stacked on a Reflash is wack. 12pt fuel correction that dicks with your timing is for poor people.
