I know the S14 and S15 SR20DET has 50mm throttle body, the N/A SR motors and the S13 SR motors have a 60mm TB and can be made to fit on S14 and S15 motors. I heard the KA24DE TB is also 60mm and can be made to fit on the S14/S15 motors w/ slight modification as well? Wanted to know if this is true or if anyone has heard anything about this. I searched and found all the posts about using a S13 or N/A SR TB, but hey if a KA one will work, why spend the 50-60 bux on another TB?

Why not get crazzy, and go with a 90mm q45? haha

Spend the money because it will bolt right on.
Direct bolt-on replacement > slight modifications.

theres a few posts on it i found last time i searched.
dont bother going for Q45, its too big unless your putting down big numbers...
From what i remember its not worth the pain in the ass to do the KA TB upgrade so i just decided id get a S13 Sr one, but didnt find any for sale so just gave up eventually. you have to modify something on the KA TB, cant remember what though...
you can try ebay for NA SR20 TBs, theyre somewhat common of an upgrade.

You have a stock s14 engine? its dyno proven that having a TB to big for your engine will decrease intake velocity. Your low end torque will suffer but you might gain top end. Im basing this on conversations on the mustang forums where aftermarket 65-70-75mm throttle bodies are cheap and abundant. You would probably be better off spending your money elsewhere. If you want some more info on this let me know and ill direct you to a few links

I know that having a TB that is too big will decrease power if you do not have serious power to use it. Hence why I do not want a Q45 90mm TB. The motor is basically stock. Has Turbo elbow, downpipe, full exhaust, safc, fuel pump, boost controller and some other lil stuff. I know its been proven to help the stock s14 sr motors with throttle response. I've seen numerous posts on how to convert a s13 tb onto a s14. I was just curious to see if it was worth it to use the KA24DE TB since I heard it could fit and i have 1 or 2 laying around. Plus what else could i buy for $50 bux even if i were to spend it on a s13 sr 60mm tb. Thanks for all the info tho.

This mod is usually done during a turbo upgrade... I would stay with stock and upgrade when you get a larger/different turbine/turbo.
if you must just pay a bit more and get that NA Sr one.

Have a KA motor in a 1993 240sx. Exessive cast manifold with a stock bolt pattern. I have the stock throttle body on there. Would like to upgrade to approximately 70 mm throttle body. Do you know any that would fit with the stock bolt pattern?
