so i picked up a new car today, and apon investigation found that one of the two bolts that hold on the struts to the strut towers is sheared off level with the top of the sheet metal strut tower inside the car.
since they are adjustable and still ride fine, i was wondering if they are worth or able to save. but i guess the dumb owner before me torqued it until it snapped in 1/2.

suprised nothing came up in the archives on this. i know it can't be a first.

yeah i'm having the same problem as you. I was thinking of getting another plate with the two studs from some other coilovers and install it for my car. But yeah still thinking right now. please help. Thanks

Depending on the coilovers, you can get studs to replace them, they are most likely ''splined'', try autozone ect.. or your best bet will be a nut and bolt shop.

If it's still the OE upper mount just replace it. Only takes a few minutes.
