well I just got my 240 and I got some white gauges but I need to know how to get them out and what the procedure is for keeping the needles calibrated correctly. please point me to a thread that may have this info as I searched for about 20 minutes and couldn't find anything.

thanks

The company you bought the facesf rom should have provided install instructions.

Basically:
Remove cluster from car.
Disassemble cluster.
Carefully remove needles.
Remove stock face, install new faces (unless they are just overlays).
Replace needles and hope you put them in the same place.
End.

It's not that difficult, and you'll learn by doing it. Just jump in and do it.

Personally, if they didn't come stock, white face gauges are :ghey:.

well unfortunately the plastic cover isn't on the cluster so the original gauges are all jacked up from when somone was moving the cluster around. so I figure if I am going to replace them might as well do it with something I like the looks of. plus I got them for free. well thanks I was just having trouble getting the plastic peice out that goes over the steering wheel, then I figured out that I have to remove the plastic from the steering column to get the other peice out so I can get to the gauges.

See? You're learning by doing. Good luck with it.

well on my older car I had to replace the gauges due to fading and I had to keep the needles in a very specific location or else they stopped reading altogether. lol

ya I got stuck again trying to take off the plastic peice with the hazards and defrost switches due to the adjustable steering wheel lever.

thanks for the pointers!

drop the steering column. 2 12mm bolt and it will be easier.

what are the colors for the ground, remote and power for the stereo? I need to use it to hook up my gauges for some reason they have power cables?

sorry I couldn't get the link to work to the service manuals.

ok ran into one more problem, I guess these gauges were made for a 91-94 and my car is an 89, and the stoppers at the bottom of the gauges that keep the tach/ MPH and temp at zero don't fit because the holes are a hair to big. anyone got an extra cluster laying around that they can pull these out of? I am willing to pay for your time and shipping. :-)

thanks
