SR20DET WC ECU? Black? Red? Zenki Kouki?

What is the difference between the RED WC, and the Black WC ecu's for the S14 sr20det?

I also have a Red W5, and a black NA Ecu, I think NA is 98 S14.

Im pretty sure the red just means its was the oldest Zenki S14 sr20det. but im worried if I put a Red WC onto a harness that came with a black WC... are there any pins different?

I used to remember what it was for. I think it might be automatic or m/t differences. But you could also be right about the older zenki harness, very few later model zenki's had the kouki style maf plug.

i have an issue finding the right ecu for my motor. is there anyone out there who can tell me the difference between the WC stamped ecu and NA stamped ecu? besides zenki and kouki....need to know if they are interchangeable, what pins are different if any are.

searched, but came up with little info on this.

Forgot where I got this from but I believe it's correct:

ECU Codes

RED WC is from a 95-96 S14 Silvia Zenki
BLACK WC is from a 96-97 S14 Silvia Chuki (transition, different MAF plug)
NA is from a 97-98 s14 Silvia Kouki 5 speed

62 is from a 91-93 180sx or S13 Silvia 5 speed
63 is from a 91-93 180sx or S13 Silvia automatic

E5 is from a 94-96 180sx black top 5 speed
E6 is from a 94-96 180sx blacktop automatic

J4 is from a 97-98 180sx Kouki 5 speed
J5 is from a 97-98 180sx Kouki Automatic

Also:
S14 Zenki SR20 with Red WC ECU has a rectangle MAF plug
S14 Chuki SR20 with Black WC ECU has an oval MAF plug,
S14 Kouki SR20 with Black NA ECU has an oval MAF plug

awesome, that's great information. i think it should be inserted into the SR FAQ. whether it's frequently asked or not, it's a great thing to know.

second. now, is there any difference in PINs between the RED WC and the NA ecu? i see that the maf plugs are different, but are they pinned different? for example, if i put a kouki MAF on my Zenki motor, swapped ECUs from WC to NA, everything should work? saying that i took the time to rewire the maf wires on the harness.

yes NA and WC are different
i changed my engine all from NA to WC ecus and harnesses due to easier finding stuff and aprts and all that. and i got a Enthalpy Rom Tune and no NA setups yet.

I am getting a motor that is a zenki motor but doesnt have a harness or ecu.
Can i use a ecu for the kouki sr (NA) and the harness?

How did that answer my question?

I just want to know if a kouki harness and ecu work on a zeinki motor?
Im thinking it will but want to be sure of it.

Sorry for the confusion i just want to get this straight.
So i can get a Kouki ecu and harness and it will work fine with my motor?
Will it plug up to the injector harness and coilpack harness thats already on the motor?
Also using the kouki setup is there any downfalls to doing that?

This is the post he's referring to. Did you even read it? The WC harness and ecu (Black or Red) will work on ANY s14 motor AS LONG AS the harness matches the ecu.
