How do i fix my trunk latch?

In my s13 the latch stopped working today. How do i fix it? I tried removing it but i gave up because its 3:30am. It seems to be stuck in the locked position, is there a way i can "reset" it to make it pop back up? Any help is great!

you mean your latch on your S13 suppose to pop up when it is working ? how come mines is not ?? is mine broken too ? i mean i can unlock it and open it with my hands but it just wont pop up wheni pull the trigger or open with the key.

Ok if you look in side your trunk at the latch you will see that there is a hole underneath where it locks the trunk lid down. In that hole there is a switch put the switch in the up position and maybe that will solve your problem. Yes michael that's the problem, but i can't lift the latch. It's stuck in the down position and won't come up. If i take the latch apart would that help?
