Legal Question. Registering SR'd 240

Okay Guys,

So here's a nubby question but I have to learn somewhere, eh.
I'm lookin to either do an SR swap into my car that's in MO still
or just buy an SR'd 240 here. My question is, how do you go about
registering it without getting caught? If you understand what I'm asking
let me know what processes I would have to go through to run an SR here
in CA. I understand cops look for them here, but as far as registering and getting the car "legalized", what do I need to do?

Nah but anyway, there's no way to "legalize" your SR'ed 240.

That being said obviously the people driving around with SR'ed 240s either:

1) Smogged with KA then swapped in SR
2) "Smogged" their car with SR in it

But beyond that you're going to need to figure it out on your own, as then it becomes "illegal."

just type SR legal in search bar and u can find ur answer within 10 mins.
anyways, theres somebody in another thread there is actually a "way" to make it street legal is the make the engine "exempt" or whatever it is... it kinda confuse me...

i used to be thinkin like u but when questions like "is/how SR legal" or "how much for a swap" or "where to get an SR" become daily basis which had been cover over and over and over and over and over again, it become annoying. simply just do a little search, save some bandwidth, and save everybody sometimes for some other better thread. :hahano: the key is to be polite and guide him to the right place

legally swapping in a sr... easy.. convert your 240sx into a fwd sr20de. Or get nissan to release a sr20det in a brand new car and then get one of those new motor and swap everything over and get it bar'd. either way you will one hell of a time to get it done.
