since the backseat is pretty much usless for a human to fit in, how easy is it to remove, and what did you just carpet some plywood to put in its place, also, about how much weight did it save?

It's extremely simple. I'd venture to say that if you can figure it out just looking at it, you shouldn't be anywhere near a wrench <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
But to give you a heads up, fold the seat down, there is a bracket on either side with a couple of screws...take them out and the back is off. For the bottom part (yes, the seat is in 2 separate parts) there are just 2 bolts at the bottom front...take them out and your seat is gone. Total it weighs maybe 8lbs so theres not really any point at all in taking them out unless you either just feel like it or plan to use the space for sound stuff.

Yea, its not really any weight savings, but when i had the back seats outa my S13 Fastback, i fit a WHOLE engine hoist in it! Yea, theres lotsa room in an empty hatch!
