so this last week i picked up someone elses half assed project, and im trying to put the pieces back together so i have a car to drive.

as of now we have the car running, but we cant seem to get any of the cluster to work. i checked all the fuses, and right now im trying to see if the harness coming from the ecu is wired correctly. the ecu is for a s14 sr20de engine, and the car is a 1989 240, so im wondering what wiring i need coming out of the ecu going towards the cluster.

but it also seems like it might be disconected somewhere as well, since even when the headlights are on, the backlight for the cluster doesnt turn on, and i doubt that comes from the ecu. it seems like that should have been a plug that stayed in the car, but for all i know it could be burnt out. the little start up LEDs for like battery and seatbelt all work correctly

i know the voltage for rpm is working correctly because i was able to use it for the safcII and it works perfectly.

if anyone has a general ecu wiring diagram that would be great.
thanks

im pretty frustrated at this point, my buddy glazed the clutch yesterday and now that we have it running i cant even drive it around.

all fuses have been checked and rechecked.

how do i get to the back of the connector on the instruments?

does anyone have the wiring for the plug going from the ecu to the instruments?, i have a feeling it was done wrong.

also there are several wires and connectors coming out of the fuse box on the passenger side of the engine bay which are not connected. does anyone have a diagram for what comes out of that box??
thanks
