I have a Blitz NurSpec catback (Peak Boost from the manifold to the catback), and it has a silencer which reduces the volume a LOT. I like the quieter sound but i just want to know, if i run it with the silencer in all the time, is there any possibility of causing excessive wear or damage to any engine, turbo, or other parts over time? The silencer diameter is very much smaller than the regular muffler tip and even the exhaust piping, and i was concerned about the backpressure it may cause. I plan to be running no more than 16 psi boost regularly. For reference, here is my complete setup:
SR20DET Redtop
Peak Boost exhaust manifold, down pipe, and dump tube
GT3071R
HKS Type-S intercooler
GReddy intake manifold
Power Enterprise head gasket
JWT S4 cams
HKS cam gears
GReddy valve springs
HKS SSQV blow off valve
Z32 MAF
Nismo 740cc injectors
Nismo adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Fuel pressure gauge
Dyno Rom Tune (i think Enthalpy)
JWT Z32 pop charger
TAil 38mm waste gate
Thanks!
