hey guys,

my 240 has been sitting a while, so i went out and bought a new battery for it... everytrhing was going well until about a week later when the new battery died? what could be the problem? The battery is really dead... could it be the alternator?

the last problem i had was when i turn the steering wheel, my steering rack makes mad clicking noises. there is a small power steering fluid leak somewhere but I can't locate it. What should I do?

Thanks alot!

BAd alternator not charging up your batt. Is that battery the CORRECT batt? voltage wise.

and that clicking noise is quite common. Check your bushings.

that PS leak might be a bitch to find. jack up your front end. go under. Check the lines starting from the Rack N pinion, there should be 2 lines on the rack. Follow them up to your PS pump and resevoir, till you find the leak of some sort

i figured its gonna be the alternator.

when i find the leak, should i attempt to repair it myself?
