So i searched through the sr20det faq...couldnt find how to check codes and what every code meant soo if someone could point me into the right direction with out flipping out about this question that might have been solve 10 years ago i would apprieciate that...thanks

loosen your ecu but not the connector. on the other side u will see hole with a wheel that can be used with a small phillips. and a led light. now turn the wheel right then to your left and u should see the light start to blink. when u see the light start to blink stop turning the screw. codes are displayed by the flashing led light. an example wud like a code 12. code twelve wud be one long flash and then 2 quick flashes. code 55 wud be 5 long flashes and 5 short flashes. sometimes more then one code will be displayed so keep your eyes open.

The ECU only has one type of diagnostics...the stock 240sx has like 5 way to check your cars ecu...Hard to explain do u know what I mean?

Yeah all you do is turn the little screw by the light on the ecu clockwise until the light turns off, then counter-clockwise until it starts to blink. Each long blink is one for the first number, and each quick blink is one for the second number. All the codes are on the first page of the sr faq in technical.

SO IM CHECKING MY ECU i HAVE 1 RED LIGHT NO GREEN LIGHT NO SCREW TO TURN AND MY ECU IS A REDTOP S13 (62)

You have a screw. It's extremely small. You almost need a glasses screwdriver to get it to turn easily. It's hidden down in a hole by the light. I've never seen a green light on a 62 ecu. You should be fine on that.
