I have read all the post I can find on this problem and tried almost all the solutions.

I want to know if there are some abnormal reason why I would be running rich, maybe it is just something simple that I'm over looking. I get loud pops all the time especially when I'm down shifting. It turns my bumper black in less than a week. I would like to correct this problem, I have check all the regular stuff timing, TPS senor, O2 sensor, MAF sensor/ wiring, etc. please if anyone has ever had the problem of running rich share you story with me, hopefully it might enlighten me on what I have not check or it might help someone else with the same problem.

SR20DET stock, no BOV.

could it be a fuel pump I have heard some buzzing noises from the rear, but that does not make any sense to me.

well i did this today.. timming, i know you said you checked it already but i did too and it was at 10 deg when i could have sweared it was at 15. When i was shing the light at it it would show 15 and once every, id say, second the mark would jump so wat i did was open the throttle by hand to quarter throttle for a good 30 sec and sure enough it idled down to 10 degrees. I adjusted it and bam no more rich a/f. try that out.

I had that problem too, but my timing didn't jump as often though, I will try that thanks.

if your running a test pipe this could also cause backfires. try putting your cat back in. as far as burning rich, most sr's i have seen or worked on run rich. the next step could very well be to just get an sacf.
