im looking at my taka lines wondering why the second coolant line looks useless to me. I now understand why. It IS useless for my application.

Im fitting a s15 t28 to my redtop. The coolant line in the back of the engine is giving me tons of trouble. I have a few choices to work with, let me know if these sound ok or not

1) use the stock coolant hard line from my t25. It will bolt up and almost fit, but will have to be bent to properly reach.
2) find a s14/15 coolant pipe *under the CAS that goes to the radiator* the coolant fitting is on that pipe, and would be able to use both new lines
3) weld a fitting to my s13 coolant pipe, and make a line for that.

If I use the s14/15 pipe, I will have to seal up the back coolant line. I thought about shoving a bolt into the hose, clamp the hell out of it, and hope it doesnt leak/fall off. this would only be temporary till I can make a block off plate for the coolant line.

What else is possible in my situation?

get a s14 water neck and then you can use all the lines. i'm not sure how hard they are to find

I would personally bend my own hard line. That would be eassssy. I wouldnt try manipulating the stock one around for fear of fatigue. Each time you bend something it makes it less strong. Can purchase hard lines from any automotive store and the bending tools are super simple. I would expect that to cost 30 bucks with the purchase of the tools maybe? Cheaper if tools bought at Harbor Freight;)

great, now I got an ex FD driver saying "fuck the coolant lines, plug both of them and just run the oil"

drill and tap the redtop waterneck to accomedate the taka fitting...done
i did this for my coolant temp sensor and took only 30 mins and costs 10 dollars for a tap and die set.

what did you all use to seal the rear coolant line?

cut it off near the end of the other heater hose.
