hey guys.... Don't sweat the track layout - I will make sure it is really fun, but we are going to try to have a very similar layout to the TRILOGY event's course in order to help some of the guys that are signed up for that event get som good practice time too. Don't worry about walls or poles. I will tell them all to stay away from your car.;-)

Can I hit 3rd gear? High 2nd? If it's just going to be a low 2nd gear autoX, blah, but if I can lay down some smoke, well, count me the fuck in.

from what i can tell on google earth... the track looks like an oval like irwindale except without an inner section for a cone track or something...

Hello, yea thats the speedway, but there is a parking lot next to it. I did a demo there before and if its that same lot BEWARE its cool but has very uneven pavement. But the fairgrounds has some other areas that are good. In that TRILOGY vid it didnt look bad at all so maybe thats a different lot IDUNO?? The oval is kinda good for nothing(small, dirt infeild, not too wide. & the banking there is very tricky). PEACE

usually, on the event schedule for most drift organizations, they will specify whether the track layout/event is for beginners or more advanced people.

It is specified that there will be a skid-pad for warmup or novice practice so it should be ok.

ok for all the questions about tech..... It is simple... bring a helmet, make sure your lugs are tight, and that your seatbelt works. If your car is a hunk of crap and is not safe to be on the track then you probly know it already.

Poles & walls - don't worry, I have a different area that I will be using and will keep it as safe as possible. *gotta240* - I do not condone violence but if you hit a pole I will hurt you worse. LOL

3rd gear lovers - get ready. My course set up will be able to hold up a 3rd gear run, just depends if you have the skills/balls to initiate where you need to.
2nd gear lovers - don't fret, just drive within your skill level and by the end of the day you'll be trying 3rd gear out too!

any more questions? well then sign up already!

ok guys - there is no wall to hit, and the poles are so far away that if you hit them you should think about trying drag racing.
LOL

beginers welcome - skid pad will be available.

10-13-2006, 12:53 PM
Considering going, I never been to an event, but I was thinking of doing the trilogy but I think there be more track time at this event. What about spectators? Can I bring a friend or would he have to pay? Is there still room avalible?

akuma s14
10-13-2006, 01:33 PM
OneEightyDl2eamel2 - most guys tont run a front bumper at our events in case they hit a cone! so you are probly ok.

Drift-it - your gonna get a lot of track time this weekend there are only about 20 people registered right now. All participants are allowed ! crew member...or so. Try not to show up with a possy or anything like that because it is a private practice event.

check out my column on ign.com it's called Akuma's world. www.ign.com

p.s. to non-payers
If you sign up and register for any event and don't pre pay - don't get mad when your spot gets sold to someone else or you get charged extra for sameday payment. If you have a lasting relationship with land-ho/driftbuffet we can usually work something out.
