S14 Fuel Tank Material

My s14's gas tank has a crack in it, and I'm going to try to patch it up so I don't have to deal with removing it.

I got some stuff made to patch up plastic gas tanks, but it says that if the tank is made of polypropylene or polyethylene, the tank needs to be warmed up in the sun and sanded.

So, does anyone know what type of plastic the s14 gas tank is made of?

It's poly, you'll need to drain the tank completely, let it air out, then plastic weld it backed with epoxy to fully repair it. The stuff you've bought will probably just cover the problem temporarily.
