Basically:
Stock 180sx (RHD), ca18det, auto/t
Aerospeed fuel regulator
3" exhaust

ok, ive couldn't find any thread that was (closely) related to this problem, so what the heck... i just installed a new walbro fuel pump. so after installing it, the car cranked but couldnt start. and if it did, in idle it just flattens out unless i kept pushing the pedal. any ideas guys? wiring is correct. i've adjusted the fuel regulator to about 38psi. so basically, i dont like how the engine is running now. (nothing else was disturb -ecu, etc)

i may have to re-install back the OEM fuel pump if this continues. (if there was a thread with the similar/same problem, just linked it back)

thx guys

how cud u set fuel pressure if the car wont idle. also make sure u didnt mix up the pressure and return line by the pump. check these and get back to me. because a walbro wont cause your car to run like that.

okei, ive already did what i had to check...connections, fuel lines, all seems ok. but i realise that 3 of the spark plugs were already black but 1. the plugs were NGK,just bought in June this year. could it be that the spark plugs cant 'handle' the fuel pump? if so i might be changing them to iridium type soon see if works better. and could it be the less fuel in the tank, coz since the day ive installed it(pump), its about to go to 'empty'.

btw i ve set the fuel regulator by removing the fuel pump fuse (and some assistance)...otherwise it still wouldnt start. (how the pump works without the fuse, ive no idea! im no eletrician/mechanic)

any suggestions/opinions?

sounds like your dumping alot of fuel. and if u pulled the fuse to start the car sounds like u might have fuel gettin in the cylinder before start up. check your fuel pressure wit the car running if u can get it running. u might have the fpr set too high and its dumping mad fuel. or a leaky injector or sumtin. but changing plugs to iridium wont help. they will probably foul out even quicker.
