My s14 is having problems with running rich/misfiring. I need to get it to a shop 45 miles away and I'd like to drive it if possible instead of paying $200-300 for a tow.
I took it for a little test drive on the freeway the other night and got the check engine light to come on for the first time in a long while. The codes I got were:
25 - IACV
34 - Knock Sensor
105 - EGRC solenoid/valve
Well, the EGR is blocked off, and I've read that I could bypass the knock sensor with a 1-megaohm resistor, but I have no idea how to deal with a faulty IACV, and I'm worried I don't have time to try fixing all these problems at once. That's why I just want to get it to a shop.
In neutral, the engine revs fine at low or half throttle, but bogs at WOT. On the street, it drives reliably but with a severe lack of power. It seems fine as long as I keep it in low RPMs.
If anyone could offer me some advice I'd really appreciate it...if anyone has had this problem and thinks I could fix it myself, or whether or not you think I could drive it to the shop or if it's too big a risk...TIA!
