i just finished my swap
sr20det black top in my 93 s13
i got my motorset from an local guy
motor, tranny, uncut harness, ecu and no maf
the motor started up fine ran for a good 30 mins with an 89 ka maf
now when i drive it breaks up between 1 and 4000 rpm after that its great
i thought it might have been the maf why i was breaking up so we changed it, then i decided to borrow my friends computer from his blacktop and the car drove like a dream, so i opened the computer i got with my motorset and i saw what i think is a chip and had BUDDY CLUB BRACK BOX pfc stamped on it.
My question is there anyway of telling what the ecu is chipped for or just throw it out and get a stock ecu? beause i have tried the n60, and n62 maf with it and it won't even idle.
right now i have 97 200sx maf on it just to drive around at 5 pounds of boost, which sucks i just want to enjoy the car

There most likely no way to tell, unless its written somewhere on the ecu itself or you have a rom reader and can check the roms themselves. I wouldn't even boost with an ecu with an unknown tune, probably wouldnt drive it unless i had to either, stock ecu FTW

HUH? FTW=For The Win...FWIW(For What Its Worth) why don't you see if its somehow related to buddy club (though I doubt it as I've never heard of them doing ecu's) and give them a call?

funny thing, we were just talking about that in class today. about how stores such as ralphs use that ralphs card with your number to find out what you buy for food, and what not. and someone said you could use 867 5309, and it works all the time. anywayyys :blah:
