Are you asking about how much to pre-load the springs?
Turn the spring perch just to the point where the spring become seated....meaning it doesn't turn anymore when you turn the bottom spring perch collar.
Then add as much pre-load as you like. A usual safe amount is 3 full 360' rotations of the spring collar (or 10mm roughly). You can add more/or less if you like depending on how the ride feels. There's no exact science...just go with what feels right to you. Double check everything with a tape measure when your done to make sure both sides are the same.
meke sense?

i hate preload
just make it so the spring doesnt slop around. dont overtighten it. just snug.

I also don't preload it. Just snug enough to keep the spring from jangling around when going up driveways and such.

When running super drifts on my s14, the best setup I have for them is, half an inch of preload in the front, and a full inch in the rear.
As for ride height, front and rear arms should be level.
Hope that gives you a good starting point.
