okai, just in case anyone is interested and doesn't kno, Fast and The Furious 2 is actually going into production. supposedly, it'll be filmed in LA and Miami. i'm just lettin y'all kno that they're havin a casting call for cars to be in their movie, which will be held in Santa Monica, CA. here's the link, for any that r at least curious.

the cars that they want are all the usual and trendy(civic's, teg's, WRX's, etc.), but, i felt that their should be some other Nissans in this movie, other than the R34. owners of S13's, S14a's, S14b's, nissan RWD/AWD owners... although it would be nice to see more nissans in the movie (300ZX especially) it's nice being the oddball with a 240SX. when i was thinking of buying an f-body, i checked out trans am forums and searched for 240SX's and 300ZX's, and i didn't even see one bad remark about nissans (or the DSMs). hell, some GM people even had S14's as daily drivers. i hope it stays that way for a long long time. nissans may not get the full respect they deserve, but at least our nissan's don't get too disrespected like hondas do, and i like it that way. even the real honda tuners wouldn't get credit just because a guy has a honda (we all saw the C5 vette vs civic thread).

basically, i don't want to be harrassed by domestic car drivers when i pull into a gas station because every 240SX that came out after F&F2, was riced and just had to challenge them, with scenes from the movie playing in the back of their mind, and enough 'wing' and exhaust diameter for 3 cars. ah i'm ramblin, ignore me.

the movie can feature as many skylines as it wants, cuz no riceboy will have a Skyline. Just don't feature any R32s those are sumwat affordable and somethign I hope to own in the distant future.

Stay away from 300ZXs and 240SXs. They are the undicovered cars of the import world. Most rice boys hate the look of Zs (lets keep it that way), and rice boys like the look of S14s but don't know what they are. And rice boys hate the look of S13s.

Thats y i hope Initial D never comes to America and FnF2 has no Nissans other that skylines.

I still will watch the movie though.

I disagree with the "Undiscovered" remark. &nbsp;I may or may changed the word, but you understand. &nbsp;The 240 has become all that much popular thanks to Import Tuner, Turbo Mag and a slew of other companies, I beleive HKS are involved with that. &nbsp;Any kid these days have atleast HEARD of the S-14/15 conversion. &nbsp;But that doesnt change who they are, their still driving a Civic.

My thoughts; you cant, can try, but cant stop these fuakers from invading the 240 world. &nbsp;I know I have come in recently, but before this fourm I thought a S-13 was a jet. &nbsp;I didnt come here because I read a magazine, shit I cant even read. You all say you dont want the 240 to get too much public attention because of "ricers". &nbsp;I think its kind of late for that, every month there is at least one import magazine with a 240 on the front cover it seems like, either with the SR swap or an S15 front-end conversion.

Two weeks after the realease of "the fast and the furious" movie, a little high school 16 yr old with a maroon 240 (like the one in the movie) got her daddy or redneck boyfriend to buy her one of those monster aluminum wings and an annoying muffler.

like everyone else is saying though, im sure we will see many a honda with a GTR emblem on it.

Most ricers only know of what Silvia, S14, and S15 is, they don't know much about the car except the headlights. You ask them what a 240SX is or a JDM 200SX or 180SX or S13, they will be like umm.... You might get lucky and they might actually know what it is but they won't want one. The only way, for now, that they might know what any of those terms are if they watch Initial D, but o well. There are not enough 240s even around that havnt been taken by us non ricers, for them to be noticably riced out.

Just to let you know... Even if we went to Fast in the Furious filming or whatever we wouldnt show off how tight nissans were.. We would get clowned on by the Supras there so don't even worry bout it. And second off, we want fast and the furious to be bad. I would only go to sabotague things. (or however the hell u spell it)... That movie is what cost us a lot of our freedom on the streets. Any help you give it to make it nice will just make us all worse. And besides, who wants to be an extra in a bad movie.
