Ok I plan on going ka-t but I have to figure out this problem first. I did a SOHC to DOHC KA swap in my s13 and I put in a freshly rebuilt DOHC. The car has been running rich ever since (not as rich before I got the timing set and ran injector cleaner). I got the timing set and I changed my O2 sensor when I did the swap (6000km ago). Now I get about 300KM to a tank (remember this is KM) which is TERRIBLE. I can also tell the car isn't pushing the power it should be. I need to know wut to look for, I will be doing a compression test tomorrow on the engine to see if it is anything major. But if anyone knows what would be causing this please let me know asap
Thanks

check for engine codes if you can, also you can check you maf and clean it as well. i have a good feeling like its your injector leaking, what you do to test this is disconect the 4 injectors clips and crank you car 4-5 times, if your car starts after the 2nd crank, even if it fires and dies you got an injector o ring problem.

I cant check for codes because I had to cut the diagnostic out when I did my DOHC swap. I'll be doing that test tomorrow and also changing my MAF
anyone else got any ideas

Hey sorry to bump an older thread... i've got a similar question. My car runs rich (soot on the bumper, and you can smell it inside), however i still managed to get around 600km from my tank of gas.
If anyone has an idea, throw it my way. I'll try injector cleaner and ill clean the MAF tomorow, see it that will help.
