LA AREA: Anyone ever have a "repair day"

I was wondering if anyone in the LA area ever had like a repair day or something like where everyone gets together and you have a chance to have other people around when working on cars. Also help out with technical problems, cuz you know that 2 heads are better than one. I just moved here from the Bay Area and I was seeing whats up with that. Personally I am having problems with my car and im not gonna lie I kinda need help. So lets see if we can get this started. Thanks!!
