I really like the Work VS-XX wheels but arent they like over 600 a piece? Is there any wheels that look similar (with deep dish rear preferrably, and in gold with silver lip?) Or, does anyone know where to get the wheels cheaper? Thanks...

Thanks.....Im all for spending the money for the 'real' thing when necesarry, but I assumed there are alot of replica wheel companys that make good quality wheels still. That black one is close, but I want gold really. Who knows the best price on new Work ones? Thanks again.

as far as price, that depends on offset, disk, size, blablabla

There are NO wheels that could be an alternative for VS-XX. Trust me. My friend just slapped them on his car, and GotDamn!

Not really. Its only dependent on diameter, width, and color if not standard. You pay more sometimes for offset if you want custom.

yea i was implying custom sizes regarding offset and disk. mainly diameter and color tho....

whoa, gt_240 got got if someone sold them to you as VS-XX. looks like they are VS- "Edition?" (see link)

and don't beleive this bullshit either:

I suggest you talk to Logan form Aspec (seach for Aspec on zilvia), he can school you about NOT getting bullshit knockoff wheels and maybe get you a good deal on a set of VS-XX.

Well looks like i stand corrected... they are "VS edition"... ohh well.. these are my OLD wheels that i bought close to 3 years ago i used to drive daily around with.. and the thread starter was looking for a cheaper alternative.. which im giving him.. there still WORK wheels and STILL similar style and STILL CHEAPER...

kensreliableb18b: why dont you give yourself a pat on the back.. i never asked to "Trade" wheels with you...nor did i ask your opionion.. Just trying to help the guy who started this thread out... im glad this thread was a self-esteem boost for ya..

FYI they are VS-MX as i stated before, and judging by you calling me a "loser" i had no idea that this thread was a self-esteem booster for yours truly.

on a side note: personally i think they more resemble the rezax line.

if you wanna sell your wheels make a new thread in the fs wheel section.

looks pretty close but... :barf:

bottom line is, you gotta pay to play. if vs-xx is out of your price range then go for some other jdm wheels. rule of thumb is to keep it real if you want to ball out like that.

think of it this way: A cz looks pretty close to a diamond....
c'mon jfandem, you're better then that.

i have works... the big thing i noticed is.... HOW DURABLE THEY ARE, compared to the fake rims...

I curbd my works at like 40mph, just had gashes and scratches, my fake rims... um, didnt hold air after...

thats my two cents

DRFT180
09-22-2006, 01:47 PM
I went a little off course at a track day doing about 90mph. The inner lip of the rim hit cement while the rest of the wheel went into the grass. Bent the inside lip of both wheels, leaked air but was still able to finish the track(until motor blew). And have driven on them for a while, just have to check the air pressure often. They are off now waiting to get fixed. I'm sure if I would have done this with any kind of knock off wheel the damage would have been much much worse. And these were Work VS-XX's

Dude, just get the REAL DEAL's. I debated on the Sportmaxx 962's which look similar but I would much rather have the true VSXX in 18x9.5's and 18x10's!!!! So I am now playing the waiting game. *a

i think the only volks i like are CE28N's. otherwise, i think all the styles are pretty lame. the GT-U doesnt compare to the the VS-XX (again, IMO). im a WORK fan for life now. they all look amazing, and i think the bling factor is that much more than rays wheels. if i dont go with another set of works, ill probably go with CCW classics or BBS LM's.

Luff only comes in 19's iirc, and are geared at Euro customers looking for the BBS LM knockoff.

Not really. Its only dependent on diameter, width, and color if not standard. You pay more sometimes for offset if you want custom.

You guys need to take a lesson out of Nizzan4u2nv's book. Ultimate real wheel game stepper right here.

Anyhow, he is right, VS XX price is dependant on diameter, width, and color. However, offset doesn't affect price of Work's.

There will be no knockoff of VS-XX that will fit well right off the bat for the lowballer's wallet. Have pride in your car and get something you would be proud of. If that requires saving more money then so be it, don't take short cuts, it always works out better that way.
