So guys first i had the problem a couple months back.

Number 3 cylinder injector is leaking so i got a new seal set. (3 piece)

stopped leaking for a week. then started leaking again.

Bought 4 remanufactured injectors and swapped one in to replace the number 3 injector because i was told ka24e injectors break and its common so better to replace it

that fixed it for a month or 2. so i just replaced it with another remanufactured one.

that fixed it untill just today. i noticed the strong smell of gas when parked.

and sure enough while car is off or on with the key in the on position so the fuel pump is on number 3 injector is just running gas out of it onto my intake manifold.

i replaced it with another remanufactured today

but if this keeps happening what should i do? has anyone had this problem or any ideas on what could be causing my injectors to break or leak(not sure if they are broken yet...going to take them to get looked at later this week)

thanks a bunch guys

If you aren't careful and use vaseline or something on the o-rings when installing it will damage them and they will leak.

so using a silicone based grease will cause them to break and leak? cuz i use a silicone based grease when i installed it?

so put the new orings with no silicone or anything and into the intake mani with no silicone

check your fuel rail....the holes might be kinked or they might not be perfectly circle. Also, check to see if its actually leaking from the seal or the injector itself. My injectors are leaking from where the hole is on the red plastic part.

 Make sure you aren't using the injector cap to push the injector in the hole. It will be hard to get in by hand but I haven't had any trouble with mine since I replaced it. If it's just the seals leaking why don't you just buy the o-rings?

alright

#1 use motor oil to lube the seal when you put it in
#2 do NOT torque them in with caps. put a towel on your hand and push gently while twisting side to side
#3 when it goes in you will feel it 'snap' into place; that's how you know you did it right
#4 ALWAYS use new o-rings... it costs like a dollar or two a set.

good luck
