ok so ive been trying to get my car streetable again, it keeps giving me problems. so im driving up and down the street in front of my house to test out stuff, car feels kindof slow but it still boosts, wastegate opens etc. (ka-t motor) and then when im pulling it into the driveway, the idle bumps up to 2000 for apparently no reason. previously idled at around 7-8, 9-1k with the a/c on. so perfectly normal. i shut the car off and turned it back on and idle is still at 2k. does anyone have any ideas as to what could cause this?

check for vaccum leaks or try the air intake cleaner spray... it worked for me...

is there any more accurate way to check for vaccum leaks than just spraying carb cleaner all over the place? i have been trying that and it hasnt been idling up like usual when you spray carb cleaner. i was thinking what if i plug the line that goes to the brake booster and pressurize the system from there, maybe that would tell me where the vaccum leaks are?

yea you could do that, just make sure that you dont put too much pressure into there

If the vacuum lines check out ok, check your TPS (throttle position sensor), then reset your idle.
Check the FSM for the procedure to reset your idle.
ka-t.org might have some more info.
