Lol I already know the first time that it was a fucking scam.

Read this.

Do you still have your 240SX? or did you sell already?
I sent you email last friday but I haven't heard from you.

I am very interested in you 240SX in craiglist ad.
In the last email I asked if you have a picture of rear view, but
if you do not have one, that's ok.

Please respond if you are still selling the 240SX.
Thank you.

Thank you for responding.
At the first time I sent email to your yahoo address.
In that email I asked if your 240 is FF or FR, and if you can show me
a picture from the rear view.
Or if you have a picture of the engine you can attach, I'd be greatful with it.
Thank you, have a nice weekend.

Hi Amanda,
When we first looked at all the pictures, there was not one from the direct rear view but more from the side. It is not very important but if you can take this view, plus we would like picture of engine with hood open. We noticed on front views that there is a gap between hood and fender?

We just don't want to make the trip to GJ just to be disappointed.
Reiko

Thank you very much for the pictures.
They look good and we would like to buy it!
However, we would be greatful:
1. if you can meet us in Glenwood Springs
2. if you can allow us to use check from credit card
3. if you can reduce price to $5800

Then we can make it even TODAY if you have time to do.
Let us know your opinion honestly.

Our phone number is 303-423-2815
Cell phone is 303-668-4786

Give us a call or give us your number.
Thank you.

I understand that you are afraid of scams and fraud,
although we are completely safe to you.
But if you only accept cash or manager's check, we
will be able to pay after next week...

Now I know what the chuki and kouki are,
I read them as English so I did not understand.

Thanks for your time.
If you get a better offer, of course it's up to you.

Hi Amanda,

I am very sorry to disappoint you...but actually
we were looking at somebody else's cars, too.
It is true that we were serious with your car, but
another attractive car has just showed up and we have
changed our mind...

Thank you for reading emails I sent and pictures...
Please understand us.

Reiko

One of the first triggers was the CC Check.

Second was, if you're from fucking JAPAN, you fucking know it's a fucking FR.

Third, again if you're coming from JDM land then you fucking know what a ZENKI, CHUKI, and a KOUKI is.

Here's his first e-mail in my other e-mail account.

Hello, my name is Reiko.
I looked at your 240SX at Craiglist.
I am really interested in this car.
I owned 180SX to drift at the circuit in Japan.
Do you have a picture from the rear view?
Also, I would like to know if it's FRD or FFD.
What are (Not the chukis and koukis) ?

I will be waiting for your respond.
Thank you.

the concern with the rear of the car (license plate #), and engine shot (swapped?). sounds like a great way to set up a theft. they get your plate #'s, somehow look up your address. they already know what you've got under the hood. bingo.

or it sounds like a cop trying to bust somebody. although this didnt take place in cali.. i dunno. sounds fishy as hell though. lol.

Always blank out your plates, and if you've got an engine you know is illegal, list it as track / off-road use only. Anyone who knows the car and would actually buy it, knows what that means anyway. Bottom line: Cover Your ASS.

i had tried my car on craigslist a while back but didnt get the offers i wanted.. but now im affraid to try it again..

Reminds me of this scam that tried to get my mom. She listed a refridgerator on the net. got several emails from some guy who was interested but is in africa, and he would have his Buddy in the US send a money order to us for $1000, then she would deduct the difference for the refridgerator, and wire him the change back. Well she gave the address and recieved the money order and took them to the bank to see if they where real, and they where counter fit western union travelers checks. so she didnt go thru it and turned over all teh email conversations and everything to the bank so they could investigate.

stubborn asian mom tho.. i tried to tell her in the first place it was a scam but she didnt see any harm to "see if it was legit" ... lol

Yeah one of the things he (The scammer) probably want is the license plate of the car. Too bad I sent him this one.

Oh and yeah I read about the 'OFF ROAD' post here in Zilvia, thanks to that one. I always list my 240 as OFF ROAD / TRACK USE ONLY now.
