So I decided to keep my car to do a 97-98 conversion. I'll cost me about 4000dollars with parts and labor (no paint). So my question is: is 2000 dollars enough for a quality paint job. I am not looking for exotic colors; just OEM color.

Go to some body shops in your area, look at their work, get some quotes, ask the locals for experience with that shop.

Nah man, its the DRIFFFTT tax!:D . Please tell me you had to pay to fix some of the damages from the wreck, but it still shouldn't cost that much for a kouki frontend.
Edit: I forgot to answer your question. $2k should get you a pretty decent paint job, its not going to be show car quality, but it should be good enough to the point where you're satified.

Dude, 2 grand for a paintjob? You are insane. I just got my front end painted (hood, bumper, pass. fender) Same color red as your car, it cost me $600 cash and it looks damn good. Even though red is the hardest color to match, I cant even tell it is different paint. Make sure the body shop knows you are paying cash because they will usually cut you a deal.

I did the conversion last year for like 1900 I had to get the front core support replaced along with some other tweaking...the bumper, hood and headlights not to mention the turn signals and running lights cost me around 900 from mikey new at performance nissan motorsports and the paint and other shit was like close to a 1000... i had a good friend do the paint with me so that saved me money... depending if you go new or used and if you can get a good deal on the work (from the looks of it the front support will have to be changed in your situation) will determine the cost. The Jdm bumper and running lights are another path to think about 2...FYI
hind sight is 20/20 and if i could do it all over again I would however repairing her back to the original state and adding some ST fog lights and a lower lip would of satisfied me.

:Owned: A quote of 4000 without paint was given to me. Kouki conversion will cost me 2001 dollars with lip and grill. There are other damages besides hood, bumper, lights and fenders. Regarding paint, I mean painting the whole car. Would 2000 dollars give me quality paint? Thanks, Mario

That's some serious damage...so yea I can see why it would cost $4000....since the labor and paint is done by a shop and not you.
2K is more than enough for a quality job...I don't know your area, but here its a good price...but why not get a nicer color than OEM red?

are you shopping for brand new shit?
why not look for used panels, then just take them to your bodyshop
seeing stuff like this makes me happy im more than capable of sufficient bodywork.

yeah there is more shit that you can buy besides the pieces that i mentioned but none of them are really needed for anything (if you are on a budget (i am forever on a budget))

try to find a few used panels, stuff like a OEM hood costs 7-800 new but u can get a CF one for 300-400, or a used OEM one for 150-200.
but if its a daily driver and u need it up and running asap, you don thave much choice other than getting all new stuff. it usually takes a while to accumulate parts for a kouki conversion if ur trying to be on a budget.
anyways good luck with it.
