what do the 00 ludes have? isn't it like 200hp (crank ofcourse) and 120tq? How much do they weigh? I assume you mean in a straight quartermile race? Dono, I thought the new ones were suposed to be able to beat us...
Get a good launch, if you don't beat him off the line pretty bad (and you should...torque) he will probably eat you alive once he gets revving real high...vtec and high redline and all...
What do these redline at anyway? I personally think they are the best honda yet as far as looks go...but they had to muck it up with fwd :/

try it out, the cars are almost stock. don't be ashamed of a loss, just as long as you don't lose money or anything else, swallow your pride. I'm not saying you will lose, but I work at a Honda Dealership and those ARE fast. Is it a Type SH? If not, you may have a chance. It's the VTEC that will get you tho.

Preludes are about 200 pounds heavier than 240's (the S14's)....and I think they redline at 7g's. I also think the Vtec might get you, but, like DSC said, with your torque, you should hope to get a good ass launch off the line. You should be straight........hopefully.....hahahaha

i thought the preludes had about 142 pounds of torque. i say the prelude will win in the long run.

I am new to this board and I don't want to piss any one off, but i own a 97 prelude and i have never lost to a 240.  I have only raced them when i only had an intake, so i was basically stock.  The base preludes(non SH) weigh less than the SH so in a straight line it is faster if the same driver were to do both runs in equally prepared cars.  The SH only has to do with handling.  Im not saying that the prelude would walk all over the 240, it won't.  A lot of it in this race would be left up to the drivers.  You might be saying "why is this guy on this board?", well i am sick of hondas!  They are pissing me off, and i want to get a S13 coupe, but i have to sell my car first.  Anyone want to buy it?
