So.
Let's say I have 17x8 +8, and 17x9 +12 3 piece rims.
And I took em apart
And put emback together
With the shells flipped.....

Can someone figure it out for me? LOL.

I've been wondering about this too. But wouldn't you have ugly, bland, poopy, stepped lip?

Get a tape measure and measure it yourself. Nobody's gonna be able to give you an accurate answer because every wheel has a different backpad length and that will affect what the offset will be when flipped.

Wheels have to have drop centers for tire mounting. This is the lip that you see on the inside half.
Unless the center is attached in the middle of the drop center, which means the wheel has a stepped lip from the factory, chances are you won't be able to flip the wheel.

Also the wheel must be bolted together in this order to be able to flip it:
outer/center/outer
and not:
outer/outer/center like many 3-piece wheels are.

I hope this helps.

Wow, I didnt realize those wheels can be fully taken apart unlike some other 2/3 piece wheels. I think I need to find some junk sizes and get some barrells and have some insane amount of lip.

Are those starforms or some other brand?
