I hit Atco Raceway friday night the 28th. My friend wanted to run his 86 Camaro for a base run, 2.8 V6. He ran a 18.99 with an early run, and NO time to setup on the line... I was dissapointed. But the real excitement was the S-13 Silvia (CA18DET) and the SR20 powered 240 hatchback. Both from SKR Performance. The s-13 ran a sweet ass 14.6, and the 240 run I cant remember... he took a second at the line to stop spinning. But I remember I was indeed VERY impressed.
Story #2. My friend (Tim) bought the car with an old Radio Shack alarm system. Well he decided that he would like to remove this system. Wonderful.... he ripped it all out... and I mean RIPPED!!! Apon ripping the system out, it spilt the ignition wire. Took us an hour and a half to figure out WHAT the FUCK went wrong. In order to start the car, Tim would hold the wire together, while I would turn the key. After a zap or two to the thumb, and being burnt on the exhaust headers... it was running...runnin 18.9!! But all in all it was a great night, we got to my house, i used wire nuts and a bridge wire to fix the wire... and we all handed our keys over and got drunk.
Point of the story. After seeing the blue S-13... I think I want it. I think I might scrap my s-15 idea. That coupe s-13 was so gorgeous. I never knew.

s13 coupe is the best!!! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
...just make sure yours doesn't have a 8" wheel gap like Meowth's when you're done with the project and you're good to go. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> In fact, make damn sure you have less than a 2" gap! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Ok, so what engines can you put in what cars. Mind you im still confused on the s-13 kouki and all those names so let narrow it down. Just for this thread can we use gen1, gen2 for american and s-13 and s-14 for Japanese?
I want a gen1 coupe. What engine can I swap in there? I was told only the CA18DET would work. What can you swap in what?

You can put any sr20 or CA18 in any year 240sx. Some years just require a little more work.. like extending power steering lines, etc..
Meowth; I'm not hatin', just... letting it be known that your fender gap is huge. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'> I said 8 'cause I figured you head was probably more than 6" wide... but never mind.
The dune buggy look is just about to become "in" I swear... it's right around the corner! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> You'll be the first on the block and everyone'll wanna be like you.
To the questions posed:
S13 and S14 here and in Japan are all the same. I imagine that what's confusing you is the 180sx (240 hatchback) and S13 Silvia (240 coupe with 180sx front bumper, aka "one-via") item. The 180sx and S13 Silvia are both "S13" chassis cars, the only differences really, are the body panels and maybe the trunk-backseat separator area.
All nissan 240sx (200sx in Europe and Australia, NOT USA) and Silvia cars made from 1988-1994 are S13 chassis; all made between 1995 and 1998 are S14 chassis, and all made in 1999 to 2001 are S15 chassis.
ALL 180sx cars are built on the S13 chassis.
hope that cleared up (rather than -- as I suspect -- made worse) any confusions... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
