What's been done to your car so far.
I would upgrade the suspension and the brakes first. They will give you a lot with the money you've got. *rhyme*?
You need the extra handling as your car will get faster.
Then start going for the further power upgrades.

The cheapest way to get more power will be good old I/H/E. should cost ~$1000 US. But don't expect huge power gains.
here are some dyno runs on a DOHC with various combinations of I/H/E. So you results will be some what less with 10 less hp to start. http://home.earthlink.net/~mav1178/Images/Cars/Dyno/ WeST posted this in the tech forum. But some thing tells me that you haven't looked.
What are your power goals for the car?

3 inch exhaust. Might be kinda lound though.
One thing I was thinking about, if you're planning to get an S-AFC with the swap someday, you could get it now and use it to richen up the mix a little bit. Should show power gains similar to the JWT ecu on a NA car which are actually pretty substantial gains. I'm not sure how well that will work, but it's something to think about.
I'm probably going to try it or a Greddy Emanage depending on how adventurous I feel.
I say hold off on the "bolt-ons" and stay true to your goal. Shit...if you go off spending that $$ you saved on stupid I/H/E...then it'll make it that much harder to save enough money for the swap. Just put that money in a dark corner and keep on adding to the pile. You'll have enough for the swap eventually. Or you could always just do the brake/suspension upgrade. You could get a nice set of Tein HE coilovers and 300zx front brake upgrades.
My PERSONAL opinion is to NOT waste it on pointless mods like I/H/E...since you will only just swap out 2/3's of that shit anyways.:hmmm:
