Hey, i have been silently reading this board for the past year and a half and have been wanting to pick up a 240 for about two and a half years or more, my only problem was that i was too young and didnt have the cash. I am not some random honda kid who read the last issue of super street or sport compact and got hit with the realization that these cars can be and are balls fast. I have been a fan of nissan since i was like 16, Right now im 18 and have finnaly saved up enough cash to buy a nice s13. I live in Detroit area and the 240 has to be one of the rarest cars around here, it sucks. I started actually looking at 240s about three months ago and i have to search so hard just to get a fucking lead on one, its a bitch. But i am still persistantly looking and will eventually get mine in hopes of one day swaping for an sr but for now I just gotta get a car. I am glad to be on this board and i have alot of questions that im sure you guys will be able to help me on. I know this is long and thank you if you acatually read the whole thing i just wanted to give some info about myself.

Thanks,

Steve Stock

You may have to drive a few states over to find one that you like. Good luck and happy hunting.

How did the ebay thing work for you, how much did you have to pay for the car and shipping. Also did you get a mechanic to check out the car or did you just buy it.

paid 2,125 + 500 taxes and fees + 425 shipping

Car is in great shape, minus timing chain rattle and a few small non important gliches, paint is great for being as old as it is, its also a high miles car, i ended up just going ahead and buying it without looking at it

Welcome to the board like everyone say. I was into honda which everyone know but i jus got tired of it and i knew of nissan potential i guess it took a book to hit me in the head... to realize honda's arent my style of taste. Plus everywhere i got i see honda morons going fast thinking they have fast car or something. So hope u have a good stay here guys on here are great.

Hey, welcome to the board.

I used to live in northern Indiana, then moved to NC. I bought my 93 hatchback last January for $4000 from a Toyota dealership (trade in lot). It had high miles, but the interior and exterior were perfect...and the engine is very strong. Since I've been here, I've rarely seen any rust on any cars here.....its amazing actually. Back in Indiana, especially in my sh*t hole hometown, rust bucket cars were everywhere (they use salt on the roads there).

My point it, if you are looking for something used.......the best place to look is places that have mild winters and that do NOT use salt on the roads in winter. I cant tell you how many nice 240's I see on autotrader.com from Georgia, Florida, and California. So, you might want to budget for having the car transported to you. If you ask people on the board, they may be willing to go and inspect a car if its near them, and then you can go from there. Also...ebay has some 240's, but some look kinda like rebuild projects (2nd cars).
