That is a 7M-GTE in my kitchen. It was such a PITA to get it in there. The rear door into my appartment was narrower than the engine. So I had to jump in the car, run over to the garage ( my brothers place ) and get some tools to take the turbo off.

I kickass because there is a 7M-GTE in my kitchen.

My brother had this to say as we where muscle-ing the engine in: WTF where these people thinking when they built this place? Where they not bringing engines in the kitchen back then?
Single turbo from the factory.
Don't actually have a car for this engine yet. Thinking about a Cressida.

Metal headgasket, ARP headstuds and rod bolts, and a new oil pump and they are good to go. My primary obsession with these engines is the noise they make. Seriously. Toyota I-6 engines make beautiful sounds.

Thats a negitive. I rule. DJpimpflex and OMGWTFBBQ as well because without their help I would have not been able to get it inside! Thanks guys

Hahah thats actually pretty funny. I might not ever put it in a car. I might just strip it and sell stuff until I make my money back. Then clean up the block and make a coffee table out of it by taking off the head and putting glass down on top of it.
I got the engine for dirt cheap because it needs a rebuild. Spun bearing. Its going to be a long term project if I do rebuild it.
Just for anyone not clear on the purpose of this thread, its a joke. Its supposed to be funny.

Yeah but when was the last time you found a 1JZ for $100? Besides that, this is destined to be a street legal setup.
The 7M is a flawed engine. I know that well. But with some basic fixes for the problems they have they make a great street car engine. Enough power and that beautiful noise. Thats enough for me and my future daily driver.
