SR Coilpacks - heat issues?

I've read a few places recently that keeping the coilpack cover on your SR can cause the coilpacks to overheat and fail prematurely. I've put about 10k miles on my car since the swap, all with the cover on, but all at stock boost with the stock turbo.

I'm curious whether anyone's had an issue with this, and if so, what were the circumstances - turbo upgrade, hot day, etc.

my coil pack cover was off when i recived the motor and drove around for a few weeks like that ,then when i put it on i coil blew and i dished out like 40 bucks so now i rock it without a cover
