Anyone else go? I thought it was alright. The only thing that was cool was the end where they drifted the whole oval with like 8 cars.

Those D1 event got boring after the 2nd one back in 2003. At the end of every event, they all get on the track and drift. How did the nascars do? kept up with other japanese drivers? An event on thursday is odd.

Nascar drivers in general was pathetic, especially the one driving the silver 350z. Only two of them turned out well. Kasey Kane was one of them and some other guy. The only cars used was cars from D1 and there was one for Busch Cup car that tried to drift. Funny comment from the announcer though.

"They designed that car to go left and now they trying to slide it sideways to the right!"

But ya, alot of Nascar fans showed up, even more so than people that enjoy drifting. This is what I could tell from the sounds of the crowd and the people around us.

I personally wasnt dissappointed, $20 isnt bad considering I got like 3 "free" shirts

So how did this work? They actually had Nascar drivers up against D1 drivers? Where did this take place?

nope. it was more like... lets teach nascar drivers how to drift and put them in a drift car and see how they do.

it was at irwindale speedway.

so is it going to be televised or anything? I thought it was supposed to be a huge event when it was first announced. I ended up forgetting about it lol.

I was about to go thinking that I only had to spend $20. Then I called some friends who were already there and asked about parking which was $10. Can you say ass rape?

One word comes to mind "boring". They did very little advertising for it. Not much in the way of flyers in the typical places and whatnot. My friend said he saw a flyer at McDonalds! WTF? McDonalds? what next?

Well the event was to raise money for the Ronald Mcdonald House Charity.

I thought the guy driving the Falken FD was the worst of them all. I tried to get some used tires but I was late again. :duh:

Ok thats cool, but flyers in McDonalds and not other places, is a fail at marketing 101.
