newbie needs more advice

Did alotta research; turboing sohc is way too hard...almost need a custom manifold..I don't have the money..

my funds are stuck round 3 grand canadian..

I've read alot bout supercharging..and im considering it
please give me some advice on wahts needed to supercharge... i need the help desperately.
