Ok i just orderd my 2871r and its time to up the injector size . For the mean time i am rolling with some 550cc and eventually 740cc with a entlapy ecu rom burn . But the sr is side feed and i noticed alot of kits goin top feed but my question is this .Whats the diff in the feed injectors other than pitch of the fuel spray ? Secondly i notice the only fuel rails offerd as top feed are for s13's only and thats kinda weird. But if they both make power whats the point in goin top feed ? But i figure you guys would be able to help .

Take a look at an S14 SR intake manifold and you'll see why they don;t offer top feed rails...not really enough room for it, the plenum is in the way.
Even if you could...I'd stick with sidefeeds...they're a better design IMO. And the stock rail can flow enough to feed 740's...so why switch?

Sorry for the double reply, forgot this part:
... But if they both make power whats the point in goin top feed ? ...
Cost.
You can build a top feed rail for CHEAP, and the injectors are cheaper than side feeds.
So it's a good solution for a lot of guys. Not for you with an S14 SR, though.
