Ok it might that my car has 230,000 somthing miles or may something else....
anyway when ever i'm driving and I hit a large hole the car hesitates or stops accelarating, sometimes it eventually shuts off when I arrive at a stop:rl: . If this sounds familiar I would love some input on the matter and any suggestions would be well received thanks.

When you hit the pothole, does the car stop accelerating when the front or rear end goes over the pothole?

well I for sure i feel it when the front hits first, cause most of the time I'm not even concerned about the rear tires hitting hard. Also, if I let go of the gas when before hitting a bump the effect seems to be less, this whole hesitating effect however only happens on bumpy roads, at first i thought it was loose sensors hitting stuff but I clipped them all where they belong and to no avail. I will probably do a simple tune just in case.

Well if you have an open diff, if you raise one wheel off the ground and floor it, all the power goes to that wheel and the car doesn't go anywhere.

If the front end wiggles and it hesitates, it could be something loose that's causing the engine to cut in and out. What you could do is park the car and let it idle. Then go around and wiggle the various components with your hands. If you wiggle something and the engine starts cutting, you know what's loose.

cool i'll try it out and see if it works. Thanks

Try wiggling fuel system and component. Also try the various sensors and such. Sometimes a loose wire will cause the idle to fluctuate.

Just watch out for moving parts.
