Stock 240sx se rim width

Whats up all, Ok heres the down and dirty I have 205/55-16's on my car right now, (some no name crap tires real smoosh and very bald) I want to put on some ((Yokohama AVS Sport tires 225/50-16)) it sez that they will fit ((6-8 Rim Width Range)) but I duno what mine are.. Thanks for help.

I think they are either 6 or 6 1/2.  I've heard good and bad things about putting 225's on our stock rims.  Good is increased contact patch.  Bad is that they don't fit as well as 205's and they tend to have a bulging sidewall that the car likes to roll over onto as it squishes in.

just try 215's i think that would be better. and i believe your width is 6 1/2
