I am in the process of installing my S15 T28. I currently have an S13 hotpipe. Now, obviously I can see that the outlet now comes out at a roughly 45* angle rather than 90*. My question is for those that have modded it, how much piping did you have to remove from the straight section? Also, did you just cut the 90* turn down to a 45* and use a straight coupler like you did with the T25?
The idea I had was something like this--

I was mainly wondering how much pipe needed to be taken out of the hotpipe so its the right length. Just hoping someone who had to do it can chime in here. As for the inlet, I alread had that cut, rotated and rewelded so that's no longer an issue.

you could just get the kazama adapter plates that make it a 100% bolt on affair.

Because they are like $120 and I can have the pipe cut and rewelded for about $10.

your idea is fine. as far as how much to chop off, just chop it and see how much you wanna take off. just remember to bead the 45 degreee end so it doesnt pop off

right now, I will be using a 45 deg coupler for the connection. I dunno how safe coupler to coupler will be, but it should hold until I either weld the 45 deg pipe on or order a s14 hotpipe

i say sell the hot pipe and then buy a proper one. Might take a while
But kw kouki looks like he has a good idea.
If anything just cut it the spot kwkouki say and then go from there. see if the 90 degree fits, if not, cut the 90 degree till it fits

a gentleman here is selling a car that has a t28. Looks like he modified his 25 hotpipe as well. here is the link. You can clearly see all the cuts and welds he did. Hope this helps you out bro
