I'm considering parting out my 90 240. Everything on it is usable except one fender. I wondered if anyone had ever done this. I'm concerned with shipping, payment and if in fact I could get the stuff sold.

Interior is complete and in great shape, motor runs 128k, rebuilt auto/trans. tires wheels, lsd?

yes many people have done it, you can make good $$, you can make even more if you had a Type R and parted it out.  Now give me your LSD!!

The left fender is the good one. I'll mark you done as interested.

I'm going to see what kind of response I get on the for sale post.

LSD sure if things move forward we'll come up with a price and sell it. I'll give you the member discount <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>
I need to lookup the VIN and see if it's LSD or VLSD. I don't know the difference. I just know it's got one of them, you can tell the way it drives.

just FYI on the LSD... &nbsp;a VLSD is a type of lsd. &nbsp; If you have an oem LSD them you have a VLSD.. &nbsp; it is very doubtful that you have an LSD on a 90' car though. &nbsp; Also Vin# will not tell you if you have LSD or not. &nbsp;the only real way to tell is to either do a dry burnout and look for two marks, or jack the rear-end up and see if the wheels spin in the same direction.

VIN number wont, but the model # on the metal plate on the left side of the engine compartment will.
I had a good link that somone here posted referencing the model number to each of the options on the car. If somone here knows it, plese post it.

As for parting out the car, absolutely go for it. I'm glad I did. Its a fun project, a good way to make some cash, a great way to learn a ton about the car, and you'll hook everyone here up that needs parts.

The Interior is Black/Grey. It's in very nice condition for a 90.

Rear End, Theres a 4 way stop here in town thats old slick black top. From a certain direction, theres a slight incline. You can light em up real easy. Thats where I've confirmed both wheels leave a mark. So 90/OEM that must be VLSD.
