i have been thinking about different options. one go back to customer service for a telephone company which i know i can make good money.

or 2 and one thats been on my mind for a while is going into the marines.

my brother in law is in there and i will get more inside info from him. what do you guys think? options job feilds you think are the best have good pay etc?

on the subject of te marines, i had 2 friends from HS join, i hold them in very high esteem... both are great guys giving a lot to their country. it can be a great deal, virtually guaranteed educatiohn and a job for 10 yrs...

it's just not something i could do, afraid of getting stuck in the military or seeing wartime

i guess i'm just afraid of commitment

one word.........NETWORKING.

There's a lot of money in networking and there's are a lot of possibilities. Almost every company needs networking. Only bad thing is when the company has a problem and the shit hits the fan, its the Networking guys that are having heart attacks trying to find the problem.

Almost anything that has to do with puters is good money.

Maybe cause I'm in the Air Force I just could'nt imagine joining the Marines As for the networking thing above, he's right every company needs one, but if your not big on computers then it's a moot point (also the field is starting/is crowded) Costumer service does'nt seem to have that much room as a carreer (i guess moving up to manager?) Anyway If your not afraid of commitment join the service doing what you want to do (don't let them pressure you into doing a job u don't want) When you get out you'll have experience and hopefully an education.

well, not everything with computers pays well. Computer sales and PC tech work pay unseasoned beans (at least in Reno). Networking is great, though

and i was gonna ask you about the service ca18guy..... my buddies going to the air force sept.

i know alot of my friends that went into the marines.

as far as computers i used to do alot of web design and graphix but i dont like how certain places make you take other subjects when your going into a feild.

thats what i hate about college i went for a semester and didnt like the aspect of it. also when i went to auto tech school i learned more at work. im more a hands on learner not a book book book learner. althought i love to read while im doing what i want to do.

i mean theres always porn!

just keep in mind that part of the reason they make you take other classes in other fields in college is to get you "smarter". it's actually a good idea. some of the most interesting things i've learned in college were things completely outside my major.

and you have to stick it out. if you're not serious about getting a degree and getting an education, you'll never dig it. if you REALLY want to be a graphic designer, you need to get a real degree for anyone to take you seriously (unless you have mad skillz).

personally, bro, i'd join the armed forces if i were you. i work in research for the army right now to pay for school (civilian employee). the jobs are plentiful, and the pay is good. just ask yourself if you want other people making decisions for you before you sign up.

i hope i'm right when saying this , but working at nissan as a tech means you work with your hands , correct? well working with my hands never hurt me and if you get in the right place the money will follow , the big money isn't always in desk jockeying(no offense to anyone)

just my two copppers

well nissan and any tech feild with mechanics is cut throat and not worth it esp for a life long careeer.

the writers think they are your bosses the bosses dont give 2 shits about you. etcetc you are expendable and replaceable

eric i know what your saying about other classes that are needed at times. it does help i guess certain schools and certain teachers are better. i remeber in highschool i sucked at math big timew then with the right teacher i had the highest gpa for the class like around 96 . something from a d average. but like i said its harder for me personally to get in a good flow learning from someone unless we click. might be just me.

but im leaning toward the forces now.
