View Full Version : No boast after 5k, not normal boast leak.

I've checked every cupler and vacuume line in my car and can't find any kind of leak. I've even replaced all my cuplers. It accelerates until just under 5k about 12 psi at that rpm and than boost drops to 0 suddently and the car falls on it's face. I've had several turbo cars and never seen a boast leak that acts like this. I'm using a GT2871R with 550 injectors and Enthalpy ECU with a 300zx MAF. Everything was running perfect until I hit a deer in full boost. I replaced a damaged front mount,MAF, and Charge pipe, but everything else is still the same. The wastegate actuator is so far towards the back of the engine that I can't imagine it would have been effected by the deer which flew over the top of the car anyways. The only other possiblity is if maybee the blow off valve was damaged from hitting the hood and has some odd type of leak but I've never heard of anything like that before. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks

hummm. could be a slight hold in your i/c piping. i had a small pin hole leak that only leaked at about 4500-5k or was only noticable then

if your using the stock inlet intake tube (rubber) there should be a big spring in it that keeps it from collapsing itself under boost/load. If its gone it would causet this
