So I am putting an s14 sr in my s14 and was wondering what everyone was running for bov's im putting in a greddy type-s and I picked up the weld on flange just wanted to see some pics of peoples recirc valves. YOu have them on the hot side or the cold side?

i have 'em on hot side, because it's the lazy way most companies have fmic pipings, but i'd rather have on cold side if i could from what i've read...
some people run no bov... c-c-c-c-ch-ch-ch!!!!

the greddy fmic piping has a pipe on the cold side. I dont have my motorset yet so I cant mock it up. I figured the hot side would be easier but most s14 hotpipes dont have flanges. seems like all s13 hotpipes do though, I think because of the way the intercooler piping is

cold side seems to have a faster response and for some reason on my setup (S15 SR20det) it doesn't stall non-recirculated style but does run rich at decel. i have the greddy cold pipe just like you but didn't weld the bov to the pipe. i utilized the stock bov hose location for the bov. you could weld it to the lower intercooler pipe in the bumper if you wanted it hidden but it'd be a pain to recirculate. most people put them on the hotpipe for easy recirculation...all depends what you want to do. if on the cold pipe, you can recirculate it with a long ass hose across the engine like stock.

Ideally, the cold side is best, and if you're running the MAFS it's best to recirculate. But most people, myself included, put it on the hot side for easier maintenance and a shorter pipe to recirculate.
