WTF mate...

Well anyways I bought a HID ballast on ebay just for having a spare and the guy sends a bunch of freaking keyless entry pads. I'm like "what the hell?"....

I just got home to see this and I e-mailed the guy, but knowing me...I don't sit on my ass and let people get away with crap like this.

I paid thru paypal using my credit card....so first thing tommorrow I'm going to do is call them up and give them the story.

MAN...I can't believe this....anyone ever dealt with this?

I'm not going thru paypal since I hear they really don't help you out.

It's fine to go through paypal as a buyer so long as you use your credit card to purchase everything.

First, go through your paypal and file a complaint with the buyer. If they don't give you your money which most of the time they won't, call up your credit card company and initiate a charge back and screw paypal over for being just as bad as the ebay scammer.

Ive been ripped of once or twice and Paypal is actually decent about getting most, if not all, of your money back. Just go to Paypal.com and file a complaint. As long as its within 30 days of the payment they will act as a 3rd party to get your money back and in the event the person tries to ignore their emails they will automatically send back the money after a couple days.

Any chance is was a simple mistake?

In the chance that it wasn't a mistake, the guy who shipped him the wrong item can use the tracking number as proof that he shipped him the correct item. Then it's his word and against the seller. And that's where your credid card company comes in.

Yeah that's where paypal is flawed. I think that is probably a common scam. Talk to your credit card company.

flyberts right... as long as you used your credit card the credit card company will give you your money back.

I used my debit card through paypal and got scammed one time buying a fmic. Never saw that $150 again even after contacting local authorities and paypal several times.

Flybert....this is exactly why I'm not going thru PayPal. Hell...finding where to file a complaint is a PITA.

paypal only disputes problems about weather the product was actually shipped, they dont settle problems with the quality of the product, he could have as well sent you a pound of pebbles and showed paypal the tracking number sayin he sent you hid's

chargeback with cc ftw
gl

The dude has over 300 positives with 98% positive. It doesn't make sense for him to scam you for $50.

Most CC's usually give you at least 60 days to issue a complaint, at least give him a chance to respond before goin off on him. You got time.

Yeah paypal dose that, acts like they are actualy helping you out...but the thing is.

Most scammers will scam more then one persion at once, and when everyone sends money they withdraw all the money out of their paypal. And this is where paypal gets gay...if the user ignores the msg and emals, paypal will try to automaticly withdraw money out of the scammers "PAYPAL" account to give back to you. But the thing is, the scammer already took all the money out, and there is nothing to withdraw so paypal says they cant do anything else to help.

Shit like that makes me think twice about paypal, but thats the only way to pay for shit online!!:madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk:

That is exactly how it works. CC chargeback is your only protection.

TipStylez - So true.

atom - I realize his feedback makes this extreme odd...which is why I'm making notes of this (that webpage took lets then 5mins to slap up). Some people tend to have friends buy stuff from them inorder to boost their rep score...i just its not the case with this cat.

Yes I have time, but really...I don't have time to deal with this given in two weeks I'm going full-time at school and working two part-time jobs...so I want to resolve this ASAP. As mentioned before I'm not someone that likes to sit on his ass and let things just happen (people that know me personally understand that). On top of that...someone tried to scam me before thru paypal..not eBay related. I wait three months, e-mails back and forward...call the guys number...nothing but dodges. Luckily my bank (Navy Federal) helped me out and got my money back...on top of that they restricted paypal from taking my money from my account. Sure in the end I was in negative balance...but that only lasted a few months..they eventually put me back to zero.

Good to know. I never realized/thought about that. I guess thats what happens the times that I only get most and not all of it. Bastards are smart.

OK...well I'm dropping the webpage for now. He gave me his phone number and I talked to him over the phone. Lets see how everything gets resolved. He said he shipped the wrong order....yet...he knows specifically how he packed the items. *shrugs*

ARGH I hate this....but I have to wait it out lol

I ship a lot of items, and I remember how I pack things. Mistakes happen, especially if you ship things in the same size box. All it takes is for someone to slap the wrong label on a sealed box.

dealing with online shit isn't instant, you gotta wait a while before you post how your being 'scammed'.... believe me i learned that and insulted a good seller and made myself look like an idiot lol

good luck with your item!
