i have a window problem now.... one day ... on a rainy day ( 3 days ago) ... i had my window open. for a very short while it was, and i let a little water in.. a dribble and then i heard a faint buzz when i closed the window....

i didnt' put too much thought into this because it worked fine until yesterday......

and then .... all of a sudden, a clunk and then no more window. i knew the window was shot because my amp was changed to a brand new one about 3 months ago.

so i took out the glass and then the window motor and rail and mechanism.

everything looked fine... so i tested it ... and it worked.... i was like...... okkkkk........ so i put the 3 phillip screws back onto the assembly and put it in my door and then tried it with the glass off. worked fine... so i put the glass on, and there comes the horrid sound... sound of gears grinding...

weird thing is... it only grinds on some EXACT locations... for example like 5 inches up from all the down. it doesn't go up from that point... so i have to pull it up .

so me thinking that the gears are GONE. i took it apart but to my surprise my motor teeth and the mecanism teeth were FINE. i mean NOTHINg.. no sign or grind... only very similar wear on all teeth. and the thing is ... where the teeth mesh you cannot move the motor closer to get it tighter beacuse it has a set ring where i can't move the motor around.

so... now it comes to the weird part.... i don't think there is flex in the gear because there can't be... i can't explain only if you seen it first hand you know what i mean...

i dont'k now what can be causing the grinding all of a sudden ... anyone know how to fix this? ... i swear there is no visible sign for a problem

help... why is my car cursed with the most weirdest problems. ~ ARG :bash:
